DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design and develop Web, Batch & Database software applications, including business and persistence layers of the application. Responsible for all aspects of the software engineering lifecycle, including web development. Perform code reviews prior to implementation. Create Unit Tests and Perform Integration Tests to verify that connectivity between the systems meets requirements. Ensure that software application design is robust, extensible, and follows best practices. Create modeling language and Entity-Relationship diagrams to document the service design. Assist with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and ensure that software bugs are corrected in an expedient manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in position offered or five (5) years of experience as a Systems Engineer, Application or Software Development, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following skills and technologies: Java and J2EE including the core Application Program Interfaces, web services, multithreaded concurrent programming, XML, design patterns, Service Oriented Architecture Pattern, Spring, SOAP, and REST services; SQL; Micro services development and implementation using Spring Boot and Event Driven architecture; JavaScript; Relational Database Management Systems including Oracle and IBM DB2; web application server such as Tomcat or DB2; implementation of highly scalable systems, release management, software configuration, design, and development; software development life cycle; agile methodologies; object-oriented and software design patterns; testing at the unit, integration, and system level; application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines; architecture and design across all systems; developmental toolsets including IntelliJ, Jenkins, and Postman; and software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, or software improvement.
