The Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager will help manage the marketing and promotion of Carolina Housing, its residence halls, and all associated programs, campaigns and initiatives. This is a fast-paced, multi-responsibility position. We are looking for someone who has the technical expertise to implement digital and social media marketing campaigns with a sharp creative eye to make sure their work breaks through the digital clutter. This person will be responsible for providing recommendations on best practices for social media and digital engagement. They will manage campaigns, planning and scheduling, through execution and analytical reporting. The ideal candidate will manage Carolina Housing’s website, social media marketing and serve as a subject matter expert for all digital and social media marketing. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in creating and implementing digital and social programs, be a self-starter and results-driven, have strong teamwork, communication, and marketing skills. The Social & Digital Marketing Manager will develop, execute, and measure results for programs across our website and social media channels mainly: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. This will include regular website updates and organic postings on social media, developing partnerships with campus partners and community organizations to support regular giveaways, working with influencers, and developing email campaigns. The ideal candidate will also have creative development skills to create some of the content/advertising to support these programs. Additionally, this position will develop original content and suggest creative ways to attract more student residents and promote our brand with the goal of increasing web traffic, customer engagement, occupancy, social media followers and event attendance. This position serves as an integral member of the Carolina Housing Marketing team, and reports to the Assistant Director of Marketing. The candidate needs to be energetic, personable and someone who can demonstrate excellent communication and analytical skills. The right candidate will have a can-do attitude, is willing to listen to and implement feedback, be a proud owner of their work and hold themselves responsible for the success of their efforts. Professionalism and respect towards all and in all situations is a must. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
