New York, New York, Job Type: Officer of Administration Bargaining Unit: Regular/Temporary: Regular End Date if Temporary: Hours Per Week: 35 Salary Range: Commensurate with experience   Position Summary Columbia Business School is now at a transformative point of our 100+ year history of leadership and impact in business education and practice, catalyzed by our upcoming move to our new, state-of-the-art campus. The Project Manager will serve as a member of the Marketing/PR/Communications team focused on supporting the implementation of business school communications projects. The Project Manager will report to the Director of Digital Strategy and work with the team to maintain productive and professional work relationships with project partners, professors and teams, and to effectively manage projects so as to maximize their efficiency, but also their impact. Responsibilities Lead the project intake process, fielding all incoming project requests and working with partners across the school to understand their objectives, timelines and budgets. Establish and oversee systems and processes to support efficient project implementation and communication. Serve as the primary point of contact for the creative team, colleagues across the school and external vendors on creative projects. Ensure that everyone is informed about the status of projects and has what they need to move the work forward. Work closely with the Director of Digital Strategy and the Schoolâ?™s Graphic Designer to evaluate and prioritize incoming project requests to ensure alignment across the schoolâ?™s communication efforts, efficient use of team resources and timely delivery of critical projects. Partner with relevant team members to define the scope and deliverables to meet project requests. Develop and oversee workplans for accepted projects, managing internal resource allocations, external vendors, and project-specific budgets. Work with partner offices to manage the review and approval of projects, collecting and organizing feedback for internal and external creative teams working on individual projects. Develop appropriate scope of work and RFPs for projects outsourced to external vendors, working closely with schoolâ?™s finance and, as needed, IT departments to execute necessary contracts. Champion the schoolâ?™s brand and visual identity, working proactively with partners and vendors to ensure the school is presented consistently and in the best possible light.   Additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelorâ?™s degree required. Advanced degree preferred. Minimum 4-6 years related experience required. The incumbent should be people-oriented, with demonstrated evidence of highly collaborative communication and strong interpersonal skills, and should be committed and open to working with diverse communities and organizations. The incumbent must have outstanding organizational and time management skills, be extremely detail-oriented, and be able to thrive in a high-volume, entrepreneurial environment; a demonstrated ability to track projects over time at varying degrees of detail and adhere to project deadlines; an ability to build a network of contacts and interact effectively with people at varying organizational levels; strong oral and written communication skills; and the ability to quickly and effectively write media collateral, emails and other communications. Must have a strong understanding of and appreciation for graphic design.  Deep familiarity with production workflows for both print and digital design required. Demonstrated experience in coordinating events in diverse, complex environments. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook are required.
