As such, GS is focused on building out a data-and-technology enabled team of growth marketers, delivering value for the brand and the business. The organization will consist of a number of key COE roles in areas such as Brand, Media, and Marketing Strategy, as well as marketing leads for each of our revenue divisions. Together, this team will collaborate to build a unified, scalable, and consistent approach to marketing the brand and its offerings. Within Global Marketing sits the Investment Banking marketing team, responsible for end-to-end marketing strategies and programs for the entirety of the division. Working across our classic IBD activities of M&A advisory and financing, as well as our newer cash management platform, Transaction Banking, the team leads messaging strategy, content creation, digital marketing, and marketing analytics. As well, Global Marketing contains a COE for paid media, responsible for designing and implementing a global paid media strategy that identifies distribution channels across multiple platforms, executes best-in-class media activations that amplify the brand and business strategy for our priority audiences, leverages data and insights to drive the global marketing strategy and identifies key opportunities and trends that exist within the media landscape. This role sits at the intersection of these two teams: divisionally aligned to meet the goals of Investment Banking marketing, and a valuable member of the paid media COE driving specialty expertise and a unified approach to media across the firm. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Role Summary We are looking for a driven, entrepreneurial Associate to support the content strategy driving the Investment Banking marketing team, reporting to the team’s head of content strategy. The role will involve working directly with external creative agencies to bring new ideas to life through multimedia (video, podcast, infographics), as well as working directly with our in-house GS studios team on a variety of projects for client consumption (with a heavy focus on video at the onset). The role will also involve writing for various client newsletters, partnering with the social & paid media teams to create amplification plans for all IBD content and liaising with the global content team in the Executive Office to develop and distribute any public-facing IBD content. Position Responsibilities Serve as key IBD marketing contact for external creative agencies and in-house GS Studios on all video-related projects for IBD Marketing Ensure professional oversight of all projects, timely delivery of assets and a high standard of excellence on all projects Work directly with head of content strategy and other members of IBD marketing team (social, paid media) to develop distribution and amplifications plans for all content streams Work with head of content strategy & head of IBD marketing to track budget for external creative/internal projects Contribute to select client newsletters by pitching, writing & editing stories Work closely with EO Content team to source and develop thought leadership content for promotion through internal and external channels, including video, podcasts, social media Work closely with head of content strategy to measure marketing impact via lead generation, click through rates and anecdotal client feedback, as well as with senior leadership to optimize and evolve strategy on an ongoing basis Proactively seek out new ideas/mediums/agencies to improve and grow our multimedia content strategy Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in a content strategy role, including video experience Experience in financial marketing/communications a plus Experience establishing and managing projects, processes and communications Detail-oriented problem-solver who is able to employ sound judgement, critical thinking and swift decision making with minimal supervision.
