Duties: Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain big data systems of moderate size and complexity with efficiency. Perform business process analysis including data analysis and GAP analysis. Document functional and technical sources to target mappings, process flows, data flows, technical specification, and unit tests. Build and maintain data warehouse and data lakes with petabytes of data. Tune big data applications for performance on massive parallel processing systems.
Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Master’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience as Software/Application Developer, Data Warehousing Specialist, Technology Analyst, or related role. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of experience in lieu of a Master’s degree and three (3) years of experience.
Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following skills and technologies: UNIX; shell scripting; Oracle; ETL tools Abinitio and Informatica; gathering functional and technical information to document and develop a strategic plan for development and design; architecture best practices; performance tuning of platform configurations for complex ETL jobs; GIT source code versioning tools coding standards; scheduling tool Control-M; MPP databases such as Teradata or Netezza; data migration; Java; performance tuning of platform configurations for hive and spark; REST APIs and web services; Python; open source frameworks Apache Tomcat; big data technologies including Hadoop HDFS, Spark, Hive, llap, and Yarn; BI tool Tableau; privileged access management systems including Keon and Centrify; and agile development; This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following skills and technologies: database design; normalization modeling and dimensional modeling; and BI tool Cognos.Chase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America’s households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
