As a Software Engineer and Application Support Lead, the qualified candidate is expected to lead a global Kanban team within the Reference Data Technology Account organization. The candidate should be self-driven to define and implement a well-defined strategy for managing application support, platform stability, and release processes.

The candidate is expected to perform the following roles:
* Support for the applications during NA hours
* Lead the Kanban team globally
* Streamline the Kanban operating model with the Feature teams and SRE team
* Understand the issues that maybe causing breaks in functionality in the Sybase suite of stored Procedures
* Debug complex stored procedures in Sybase to understand the business functionality and guide the Kanban and SRE team
* Application owner role for the business critical applications
* Understand various reporting needs (business, regulatory, audit, etc.) and help put together responses
* Complete application risk assessments, risk reporting and track timely closing of risk action items
* Identify issues in the Java spring-based application logs and trace it back to the Sybase code
* Support releases along with the SRE team and perform the Post Production release checks
* Available to support up to 2 weekends a month

Technical Skills:
* Strong Production application support experience
* Strong understanding of Kanban framework and DevOps structure
* Experience with Application Risk assessment and responding to IT audit, a plus
* Strong RDMS knowledge
* Strong Sybase ASE and Sybase Replication knowledge
* Strong Unix scripting and debugging skills
* Investment banking business knowledge
* Intermediate knowledge in basic Core Java, Spring Framework
* Knowledge in Production Scheduling services like Autosys, Control M
