Most of the responsibilities will involve: • Overseeing, mentoring, and developing staff of whom are at various stages in their studies – this will be the largest percentage of your role. • Managing and planning the workflow of a variety of jobs Remainder of your time will be spent: • Managing clients and their needs • Project work as and when required The smallest percentage of the role undertaking accounting tasks such as management accounting, VAT returns, year end accounts and associated tax returns. This role would suit a fully qualified (ACA, ACCA) accountant with sound experience working within an accountancy practice, and will demonstrate: • Success of planning and controlling workflow • Managing a team with a varying level of knowledge • Producing accounts to FRS 102. You may be working in a larger firm looking for more of a “big fish in a small pond” opportunity, with real aspirations to operate at senior level. Or perhaps you are working in a smaller business but looking for a new challenge, with a genuine opportunity to progress. You will need to be flexible in your approach, with a commercial mindset, and through your team and client management experience, possess excellent and diplomatic communication skills.
