RESPONSIBILITIES  • Maintain the Risk Management framework, including defining updating and challenging the risk appetite and policies, across the business and re-assessing this to ensure it remains fit for purpose. • Proactively engage, support and influence senior internal stakeholders on risk related matters including their identification and assessment of risks/issues and incidents in line with the agreed risk appetite and associated Risk Management framework. • Promote awareness and understanding of the control environment across the business to ensure that the operational areas and Board understand the processes they have accountability for and understand what good control looks like. • Provide consultation and support to Business Heads and Operation Managers in the understanding, identification, management and mitigation of risk and control. • Deliver agreed risk management processes and tools to operational business areas. • Maintain a good level of understanding of the latest regulatory and legislative developments in order to ensure the company act within the necessary requirements for managing risk. • Shape and drive risk reporting and risk control self-assessment returns. • Review and analyse risk intelligence, using internal and external data, identify current and emerging trends and provide recommendations for review. • Attend team, business, operational and stakeholder meetings. • Provide continual oversight and feedback on successes and areas for improvement • Monitor and act on recommendations from Compliance reviews. • Prepare regular Risk reporting for monthly Executive Committee meetings, attending when required. • Preparation and input for Board Risk Committee meetings as required by the Risk & Compliance Director • Line management responsibility for Risk Reporting Assistant. SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED  • Experience of design and delivery of Risk policies, processes and procedures including being able to provide robust evidence of compliance in the Financial Services sector. • International Certificate in Financial Services Risk Management or equivalent would be preferred but not essential • In depth knowledge of business continuous improvement methodologies, change management approaches. • A strong knowledge of current FCA regulated environment • Ability to influence people who are not direct reports
