Our Global Technology Infrastructure group is a team of innovators who love technology as much as you do. Together, you’ll use a disciplined, innovative and a business focused approach to develop a wide variety of high-quality products and solutions. You’ll work in a stable, resilient and secure operating environment where you-and the products you deliver-will thrive.

As a senior developer within our global team you will help drive both the evolution of our product and the transformation of our engineering discipline, combining in-depth knowledge of software, methodology and systems to develop creative engineering solutions to business problems. Solutions are delivered incrementally, typically in two week sprints, with opportunities to checkpoint and if necessary pivot at each boundary. A large scale scrum style approach allows small, co-located agile feature teams to collaborate globally on key deliverables with the collective goal of providing rapid, reliable, consistent, secure, robust and fully automated delivery of database instances along with a catalogue of automated self-service options that empower the consumer to leverage the full capabilities of the underlying database. In short you will be instrumental in delivering a private cloud experience to business applications requiring an Oracle data store.

You’ll be a leader amongst curious problem solvers with a diverse set of perspectives who are enabled to think big and take risks. In this agile and continuously evolving environment you’ll be at the forefront of design and delivery of new features; helping set direction and facilitating discussion; writing, reviewing, testing, demonstrating and deploying key components; providing and implementing feedback on both development practices and technical content; interacting with customers and suppliers to fine tune delivery or present requirements; mentoring other team members to improve productivity and enhance expertise. All the while supported by an organization that provides the support and mentorship that you in turn need to learn and grow.

Responsibilities :
* Work with the product owners to shape product direction based on a consideration and understanding of what’s technically feasible versus what is desired by the end user.
* Conduct code reviews and ensure sustained quality in delivery
* Employ Agile engineering practices; Pair Programming, Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development, etc.
* Help lead the discussions at retrospectives and reviews to identify and then implement improvements to products in a continuous feedback loop.
* Provide production support and issue triage for products.

Key Skills:
* Proficient in Python, preferably with knowledge of Django or similar
* Experience of Web UI frameworks such as REACT or Angular.
* Knowledge of Unix Shell scripting.
* 7+ years experience in application development preferably with Linux
* Experience working in an Agile team, Scrum preferred.
* Experience in using software development tools such as JIRA, Confluence, GIT/Bitbucket & Jenkins.
* Exposure to Micro Service architecture, REST API design/development
* Experience with build automation, test driven development, continuous integration and delivery
* Knowledge of Oracle not a prerequisite for this role
