The opportunity:
As Performance Marketing Lead for U.S. News Travel, you will play a pivotal role in scaling one of America’s most-visited consumer travel websites ( travel.usnews.com ) as well as an Online Travel Agency (OTA) startup ( gotosea.com ). Apply customer acquisition, retention and reactivation strategies to multiple lines of business including hotels, tours and cruises. Reporting to the General Manager, Travel, this is a unique opportunity to develop a performance marketing practice within the fast-growing digital travel market. We’re looking for someone eager to both lead our performance marketing strategy and execute at a tactical level.
You will lead:

Acquisition: Design and execute on marketing strategies for SEM, Display, Affiliate and Video. Build creative, ROI-positive campaigns for the right-fit opportunities across our travel portfolio.
Retention: Develop and scale customer retention strategies using email, alerts and other product features to guide users toward a travel decision.
Conversion optimization: Analyze on-site user behavior to identify opportunities to improve performance of advertising, lead generation and direct bookings, increasing the ROI of marketing efforts.
Revenue analytics: Apply your expertise in financial modeling and digital analytics to move our business forward. Own KPIs including average revenue per visit, conversion rates, return on ad spend, and customer lifetime value.
Partner development: Collaborate with existing partners and strategically identify new commerce partners to help us achieve performance marketing-driven growth.
We’re looking for:

5+ years’ performance marketing experience
Experience scaling B2C e-commerce and/or lead generation through ROI-positive paid acquisition
Experience using data to make decisions, with a bias toward action and moving quickly to realize results
Knowledge of the online advertising ecosystem and how it is evolving
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills including using VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and building formulas
Proficiency with Google Ads, Google Analytics, and other relevant marketing/optimization platforms
A strong ethics philosophy and a desire to do the right thing for consumers
Proven ability to partner effectively with internal teams such as technology, design, product and content
Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and negotiation skills
