It is the leading department in the management and marketing disciplines in Australia. It has strong undergraduate and postgraduate programs and an outstanding group of academic staff that research and teach in various sub-disciplinary areas of management and marketing. About the Roles The Department of Management and Marketing is looking for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Operations Management (Levels B-D in the Australian system) to join its operations management (OM) group. The Department hosts one of the largest and strongest OM groups in Australia, with a mix of qualitative, empirical, and analytical researchers. Colleagues from the group regularly publish research in top-tier journals in the field, including Journal of Operations Management , Manufacturing & Service Operations Management , Operations Research , and Production and Operations Management . They also contribute strongly to a broader community through consulting projects with industry partners, engagement with media outlets, and the development of executive programs. The appointee is expected to conduct high-quality research in operations/supply chain management and business analytics. In addition, the appointee will contribute to teaching by developing and teaching subjects in project management, operations management, business analytics, and/or decision sciences at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and executive education programs. Finally, the appointee is expected to make a significant contribution to the collegial and intellectual life of the Department and his/her academic discipline. To be successful, the applicant will need to demonstrate a strong track record, commensurate with the level of appointment, in elite international journals. Teaching experiences in the areas mentioned above will be desirable. We particularly welcome applications from researchers with methodological expertise in analytical and/or empirical quantitative methodologies. Applications for senior positions (Level D) will need to demonstrate academic leadership through mentoring early career colleagues and supervising Masters and/or Doctoral students. The Department is seeking to make a number of academic appointments at different levels in key areas.  Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (equivalent to Assistant Professor), and Associate Professor  positions are available in: Marketing Strategy/International Business Entrepreneurship Human Resource Management Operations Management Organisational Studies Sustainability First Nations Business and Leadership All positions are full-time, continuing (tenure-track) roles.
