Position Overview: The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) seeks a skilled, motivated and data-driven marketer for the position of Marketing Technology Specialist. Centrally based in UMBC’s Office of Institutional Advancement, this position will work with the Alumni & Development Communications & Marketing (A&DCM) team to execute on technical aspects of communications and digital marketing strategies. Telework: A hybrid telework schedule may be available. Responsibilities: Specific responsibilities include:   Become the key administrator responsible for utilizing tools and systems to support data management, support website development and updates and create marketing reports. Ensure data is stored properly and flows correctly between digital channels, including websites, emails, CRM, analytics tools, social media, software and forms. Makes recommendations for and implements processes/procedures to maintain data integrity. Run reports to compare and correct record integrity on a regular basis. Develop and implement dashboards and regular reports of data and metrics to assess communications and marketing efforts. Work closely with both A&DCM team members and other OIA partners in Development and Advancement Services as well as IT staff to inform decisions about tools available to meet alumni engagement and donor/giving goals. Provide technical support to staff and create documentation for communications and marketing tools, department policies and best practices to ensure that outbound engagement and donor solicitations are accurate, timely and effective. Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, Data or a related field One year experience with CRM (Customer Relationship Management), data management and marketing report generation Preferred Qualifications:  One year experience in Higher Education marketing and/or communication One year experience with Anthology (iModules) Special Instructions to Applicants: Upload a cover letter and a resume.   Closing Date: Open Until Filled.
