Los Angeles, California, Marketing Manager, Institutes & Centers USC Marshall School of Business Marketing The Marketing Manager for Institutes and Centers will help lead the creation of marketing materials in line with the mission of the Marshall School of Business by shepherding ideas from planning to development to execution. This person will collaborate with others and manage resources/budgets to bring the marketing calendar to life. The Marshall Schools centers of excellence (Institutes, Centers, and Initiatives) are entities at the forefront of the schoolâ??s thought leadership in critical and emerging areas of business. The newest additions include the world-leading Kendrick Institute for Supply Chain and the VanEck Initiative for Digital Assets and the Initiative for Digital Competition. These entities are in addition to the Marshall Schoolâ??s leading entrepreneurial Centers â?? the Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies and the Brittingham Social Enterprise Lab. Reporting to the CMO and collaborating with peers who specialize in PR, Brand, and Digital Content, the Marketing Manager will manage and execute marketing communications in collaboration with subject matter experts on the team and key stakeholders at each center of excellence at the school. This role is for someone who enjoys inspiring others to do great work together and whose key strengths are organization and collaboration with a strong attention to detail. They will manage workstreams and create tactical plans to develop assets across a broad range of channels and targets. Responsibilities and Duties The key functions of this role are to support the branding and marketing of Marshallâ??s centers of excellence as follows: Marketing Development: Managing the development process for marketing materials and deliverables, end-to-end in partnership with external agency resources and internal resources Internal Client Services & Relationship Building: Developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Marshall centers to help develop content that promotes the Marshall Brand and fulfills the needs of centers of excellence. Production Management: Managing the workflow with creative partners, the rest of the marketing team, and center staff to develop video and static assets and brand materials at a quality level in line with industry. Content Planning: Strategically developing, managing, and collaborating with internal stakeholders on Marshall School Content Calendars. Senior Level Project Management: Ability to turn calendars and plans into reality with flawless execution and by applying best practices from industry. Events Marketing â?? many centers promote thought leadership through conferences and speaker series. Help create assets that promote these events prior and curate content post event. Preferred Qualifications Â· 7 years of relevant brand management experience, can include client brand and/or creative agency experience in marketing/advertising/production. Â· 4 years experience in content marketing, brand marketing, event marketing, or related creative management field. Â· Experience working with external agency and creative partners Â· Experience with events marketing is a plus. Â· Knowledge and understanding of digital media Â· Strong written and oral communication skills Â· Ability to work with a wide range of people and mindsets and navigate different agendas Â· Strong collaboration skills, skilled at listening to others and distilling requests into strategic priorities Minimum Qualifications Â· Minimum Education: Bachelorâ??s Degree Â· Minimum Experience: 5 years Â· Minimum Field of Expertise: Thorough knowledge of marketing and management.
