As a key member of the NSF I-Corps Hub team at the College of Engineering’s Center for Entrepreneurship (CFE), the Marketing and Communications Specialist will develop and implement marketing and communications strategies to support the activities of the NSF I-Corps Hub: Great Lakes Region. You will report to the I-Corps Program Assistant Director and will work in collaboration with the CFE Marketing and Communications team and the Hub partners and affiliates to plan and coordinate marketing communications and materials to support program recruitment and broaden awareness of the Hub programs, participants, and projects. You will also develop and maintain relationships with appropriate media partners and outlets to share the success stories of our program participants. We are looking for a collaborative and enthusiastic professional with experience using traditional and innovative communication platforms to connect with key stakeholders, and with a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service and contributing to a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment for all members of our community. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field. 3+ years of professional experience managing marketing and communications projects from ideation to delivery and developing original content. Experience working with WordPress and graphic design software (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop). Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills. Previous work experience executing marketing strategies within an academic environment and working with local and national media outlets. Advanced graphic design skills.
