The global pandemic only served to strengthen that trend. 2020 and 2021 saw unprecedented demand, and we’re not slowing down. Role Purpose We’ve got a great new opportunity which would suit a recent marketing graduate with a can-do attitude to join our Customer Retention team. As part of this team, you will play a pivotal role in the creation and delivery of targeted and personalised email campaigns to increase customer engagement and to improve the customer retention targets. You will be responsible for developing and building email templates, testing and ensuring each campaign is optimised for different email clients and devices. Key tasks, responsibilities, and accountabilities • Responsibility for ensuring email campaigns are designed, built, sent, and analysed using internal systems (including Adestra/Fresh Relevance and Alterian) • Use insights from previous campaign evaluation to identify and select the most responsive audience to send the campaigns to • Continually refine and carry out AB tests to optimise future campaigns • Extracting key findings through post campaign evaluations and share this information with the wider marketing team on a regular basis • Support on building appropriate customer contact plans for specific customer segments in the database • Proofread emails for clarity, grammar and spelling and ensuring all links are working correctly and utm tracking is in place • Provide new and creative ideas for other campaign activity, including featuring dynamic content where suitable • Supporting the customer retention team and the wider business with any ad-hoc requests Skills and experience which we would love to see, but don’t worry, we’ll provide comprehensive training, too: • Previous experience working with ESP (Adestra/Mailchimp/Silverpop, Red Eye etc) • Familiarity with email channel performance metrics • Previous experience in building emails and selecting customers for campaigns • Previous experience in a similar marketing role is desirable, but not essential • Experience with Adobe Photoshop would be desirable • The ability to prioritise and multi-task and work to deadlines is essential • Keen attention to detail, with a desire to deliver an excellent customer experience • Ability to work to deadlines • Able to work alone or as part of a team Equally as important as all the technical “stuff”, we’re looking for someone who is hungry to learn, irrespective of their seniority.
