Greensboro, North Carolina, Description: This position reports directly to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Campus Enterprises. The position will provide marketing direction and communication strategies for all Campus Enterprises. This position is responsible for providing strategic guidance for the department and all of the Campus Enterprises’ units. Creating and implementing communication strategies that supports Campus Enterprises programs, products, services, organizational visibility, and branding. It will oversee all public and student publications and the web communications strategies. This position will exercise the day-to-day decision-making that has a major impact on the image and the credibility of Campus Enterprises and the University as a whole. Primary Function of Organizational Unit: Campus Enterprises is a visible support unit on the campus providing essential services to students, faculty, staff, parents and visitors. Campus Enterprises is comprised of the University’s self supporting entities. The strategic goal of Campus Enterprises encompasses achieving operation excellence, generating revenue, and providing outstanding customer service satisfaction. In addition, Campus Enterprises provides management support to the intercollegiate athletic program to efficiently and effectively preserve athletic resources as well as fiscal oversight to the Division of Student Affairs and all student driven entities. Organizationally, Campus Enterprises reside in the Division of Business and Finance. The Associate Vice Chancellor reports to the Vice Chancellor of Business and Finance. The Department serves a vast and diverse customer-base that consists of eight functional units: Dining Services, Aggie OneCard, University Bookstore, Ticket Office, Mail Center, Vending, Concession and Parking & Transportation Services. Internal job number: 008068 Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in the area of assignment, of which at least one is supervisory or in a lead-worker capacity; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Preferred: Master’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or related field, or equivalent professional training and experience Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or another related area and ten years of directly comparable experience may be substituted A relevant post-baccalaureate degree with a minimum of three (3) years or greater of relate professional experience, or a relevant undergraduate degree and a minimum of five (5) years or greater of relevant experience may substituted for the advanced degree.
