East Hanover, New Jersey, An estimated 36 million patients in the US report having symptoms of dry eye disease (DED) and approximately 17 million patients have been diagnosed. Though DED is one of the most common reasons a patient visits an eye care professional (ECP), under 2 million patients are treated with a prescription medication. As the quality of life of millions of patients is negatively impacted by the signs and symptoms of DED, a significant unmet need exists. At Novartis we are reimagining medicine to address some of society’s most challenging healthcare issues. We discover and develop breakthrough treatments and find new ways to deliver them to as many people as possible. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: As the Associate Director, Xiidra Professional Marketing, you will be responsible for contributing to the strategic planning and implementation of professional promotion for Xiidra, the first and only prescription drop to treat both the signs and symptoms of DED. You will closely partner with all marketing disciplines, (Consumer, Market Access, etc.), and cross-functional US teams to deliver strategically sound, ROI generating and best-in-class professional promotion. * Meaningfully contribute to both branded and unbranded promotional professional strategies to effectively drive customer engagement across multiple Eye Care Professional (ECP) segments that are core to the brand’s success * Guide the development and tactical implementation of the Xiidra professional brand plan (including but not limited to personal promotion, MCM, congress promotion, medical expert development, ECP targeting, etc.) * Provide leadership to direct report(s) including coaching, advising and developing * Monitor the product performance, competitive environment and customer base to quickly adapt and ad-just as needed * Drive an ophthalmic portfolio mind set by coordinating across Eye Care Brand Teams for streamlined and optimized communication (internally and externally) * Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for building education and brand awareness, as well as improving the ECP and ECP/patient experience with Xiidra
