UC’s annual budget tops $1.6 billion and its endowment totals $1.9 billion.   Job Overview The Associate Director of Admissions – Marketing and Global Operations will provide leadership for the administration of student recruitment within international admissions and will report directly to the Director of International Enrollment.   The Associate Director of Admissions – Marketing and Global Operations is responsible for developing and implementing the primary components of the university’s marketing and communication efforts for international undergraduate applications. The Associate Director will supervise professional marketing staff, based in Cincinnati, as well as the university’s expanding global office network (currently 5 staff in three countries).  The Cincinnati based staff reporting to the Associate Director are primarily responsible for developing international marketing materials, including print, web and social media efforts as well as designing and implementing a comprehensive communication plan for the international applicants. The Associate Director also oversees the university’s representative network, ensuring applicants are receiving high quality advice and assistance from our partners. The Associate Director will also collaborate with the university’s Marketing and Communication department on materials development and UC International’s marketing and promotional efforts. The Associate Director will also assist with application file review and recruitment territory management. Essential Functions Assist with the direction of an admissions office or center with primary responsibilities for day to day operations and administrative management in which decisions and quality of execution have significant impact on internal and external relations. Develop long-range plans and strategies to achieve unit, departmental and university goals for areas of responsibility, monitors and achieves established goals. Recommend, implement, and interpret internal rules, policies, procedures, controls, and manage processes to advance service levels; develop and implement responsive service programs. Attend meetings on behalf of the Director; consults with Director on major policy changes affecting other departments; authority to grant exceptions; may function as the Director in his/her absence, as required. Develop, implement and monitor assigned budgets; authority for function budget, revenue, and expense planning and approving expenditure; delegated signature authority for programs or functions within department or center. Monitor and coordinate staff development and training programs. Compile data required for internal and external reports and assessments; interpret and disseminate information, provide advice, assist in development of advising materials, deliver presentations, ensure that all programs and services comply with university, state and federal regulations. Maintain collaborative relationships with departments/units regarding efforts that enrich the student experience. Maintain and stay abreast of trends in student recruitment and retentions and academic programs requirements. Serve on various university, division and departmental committees, represent the department at various state and national associations. May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.). Required Education Bachelor’s Degree Required Experience Five (5) years of experience in admissions. Previous supervisory experience. Some positions may require specialized experience. Additional Qualifications Considered Master’s Degree Proficiency in the Slate CRM system. Experience in designing and creating marketing materials and communication plans for incoming international undergraduate applicants and students. Experience in supervising professional staff. Experience in international recruitment travel. Experience in undergraduate application file review. Targeted local, national and/or international travel. Physical Requirements/Work Environment Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
